I have been going to 24 hour fitness for about a year now and I have never seen anybody using it. I can't say if it will work or not. You might ask them if they have one you can try out for a day or so.
If you googled 'D. Pica artist' and came up empty, then that artist has never attained any fame or notoriety. If you HAVEN'T googled it yet, then why haven't you?
This condition can also be found in people who are missing nutrients in their diet (like starch) and try to replace those missing nutrients with something like laundry starch. This doesn't mean that people will only eat non-edible items to supplement their diet, they eat them for other reasons too. People with Pica have also been known to eat urinal cakes, the toilet fresheners, etc.
I don't think it is. People with pica normally eat things such as sand, dust, and paper. I've eaten both uncooked spaghetti and baking soda before, so I don't consider it to be that out of the ordinary!
Zumba burns a TON of calories. If you're not looking to lose a lot of weight I'd just keep up with the heatlhy eating and do the class.

Zumba will help a little bit, but not with technique. It will teach you to pick up combinations and how to dance with the tempo of music, but it's not ideal. However, I would do the Zumba just for those benefits.
Typography is the art of typesetting, not a unit of measure. The pica is the typesetter's basic measure, and it's equal to 1/6 of an inch. There are 12 points to a pica, so the point is actually the smaller unit of measure.
Thanks for your polite reply. While I may seem like a hatemonger to some here, it is mostly playing devil's advocate; & partially putting forth an opinion not commonly posed here in a civil manner. As for the question of nature, I would agree that we are bound by nature, but does this mean that all our behaviors are natural as you say? Certainly if a person suffers from Pica (the desire for eating non-edible things) their appetite is labeled as disordered, because (cont)
If you know what pica is, and if you don't suffer from any nutrient deficiencies, I don't see a problem.
Unless, of course, you do a large volume. If you are doing a couple of sheets a day or a couple of napkins a day, you might have OCD.
I like to chew on paper, and I do swallow it. I figure it is a little fiber that won't hurt me. The worst time is in the movie theater, when I bite off pieces off my paper drink cup.
